| During the ride should one have tube, tire, pump, patch kit and tools with them or can we rely on using our cell phones to contact the bike shops traveling with us? |

| Although bike shop personnel will be traveling the course, I would still have the necessary items to repair a flat tire. Most all of the SAG vehicles will have tubes and pumps, but not tires. |

All riders should be prepared to fix their own flats! While help is often available, the BRAN crew and the bike shops are often very busy keeping up with more difficult repair issues and assuring the stationary SAGS have water and other needs. If you are prepared to ride across Nebraska, you can likely fix your own flats. One very nice help that the SAGS provide is a floor pump. After I fix my flats, I always appreciate stopping at the next stationary SAG and topping off the pressure in the repaired tire with a decent floor pump. _________________ Dave Bardsley |
