Change of Command

A new beginning

Change of Command

Postby branadmin2 » Tue Aug 21, 2018 8:58 am

After 38 years the Northwest Rotary has retired from sponsoring BRAN. We thank them for all the fun through the years. Starting with BRAN 39 the Omaha Pedalers Bicycle Club will be the sponsor. Plans are being made for the 39 ride. As usual all the information will be shared on the Forum as it becomes available.

Thanks Frank for all the years of service you and your wife have given toward the annual BRAN ride. Hope to see you both for years to come.

We had the first meeting last night to plan for BRAN 39. The Route is coming together and hopefully can be announced in the next couple of months. There are no big changes being made. We would like any suggestions you might have. BRAN is always open to anything within our power that can make the ride better and safer for the riders.

Last night was the first meeting of the new BRAN board. We are looking forward to serve the riders as they have become accustomed. The change in sponsorship has been completed. Tomorrow we will have another committee meeting to continue the planning for BRAN 39. The current plan is to have a party to reveal the route and other particulars before the middle of November.

In the meantime I will entertain your wild guesses. Only on clue it will probably be in Nebraska, just saying.

Harrison's a great little border town. I'm wondering if they'll start there again in 2019 by chance.

My wife and I also have fond memories of Harrison . We even enjoyed the long days that followed. Lucky there never were heavy winds to fight, but no we will not start there on 39.

Please feel free to guess. I will not comment on all . Remember the reveal party on November 14th at Bike Rack in Omaha. We can then see how close any of the guesses are. Hope a lot of you can make it.

Of course. That would kind of spoil the reveal party!
